Come up the mountain to Cripple Creek this fall to see the colorful aspen and help the Two Mile
High Club take care of our beloved donkeys! The Aspen Tour this year is self-guided and begins at the Heritage Center above town or the District Museum on the east end of town. Spend an hour or the entire day in the safety of your own vehicle, learning about the World’s Greatest Gold Camp!
An information packet, which includes a map, suggested stops, donkey treats, and even a small souvenir donkey, can be purchased for $10. All monies collected go toward the care and feeding of our feral donkey herd. Also, experts from the Newmont CC&V Gold Mine and members of the Gold Camp Victorian Society, dressed in 19th century attire, will be available at several locations throughout the Mining District to answer questions. The donkeys will also be at several Cripple Creek stops, including the American Legion beverage tent in City Hall Park.
Join the Two Mile High Club for a fun day of aspen color, interesting history, and donkeys, donkeys, donkeys! Hope to see you in Cripple Creek this fall for Aspen Tour 2020!
